EAA Airventure

After the Air Force I of course had an interest in air shows and the largest one in the World is right in my backyard (Oshkosh, WI), the EAA Airventure.

SR-71 and Antonov 124

1989 was a great year for the airshow as both the SR-71 and an Antonov-124 (which carried two Sukhoi aerobatic planes as cargo).

2026

I was lucky enough that I was invited to go with friends, I will call them Fred and Wilma.

Got to see many wonderful historical and present-day aircraft again. It is so wonderful to be able to walk the grounds and see so much history.

Grumman Avenger/P-47 & P-38

The airshow was spectacular, started with insane pilots doing insane shit. Then got a B-1 flyover, Mikoyan MiG-29 demo and finished with an awesome F-22 Raptor flight.
