While I enjoyed rocks and fossils, I never really collected them until I went on some trips for GeoBase and brought them home for the boys. It really picked up when I went to Ellsworth AFB in Rapid City, South Dakota, close to the Black Hills Institute of Geological Research in Hill City that I really got going.
